Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills

Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND)

Through our various services, including within our Apprentice Employment Organisations (GTO’s), Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s), Australian Apprenticeship Support Network, Workforce Australia and Transition to Work programs, our teams conduct assessments to determine additional supports individuals may need to embark on the training or employment of their choice.

Our RTO’s also conduct LLND training to upskill and prepare people for their chosen training and employment pathways.

Workplace Literacy Programs

Literacy skills development is a lifelong process. Work & Training has been delivering workplace literacy programs in Tasmania since 2009 to help businesses upskill staff and meet the evolving demands of the modern workplace.

Statistics show Tasmania has a higher rate of low-level literacy compared to other states and territories in Australia.

By participating in this program, you not only address the issue of low-level literacy, you also empower your employees with the necessary skills to thrive in their roles.

Our tailored workplace literacy program has lots of benefits:

  • Improve the completion and quality of documentation, enhancing efficiency in record keeping
  • Increased ability to measure and perform calculations, reducing wasted materials and time, leading to cost savings for your business
  • Focus on improving ability to locate information, read specifications, and solve problems effectively
  • Enhance skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Boost confidence and ability to complete tasks to a high standard
