The IntoWork Group delivers a number of programs to support First Nations peoples across Australia. The programs are culturally safe and appropriate to reflect the specific needs of First Nations People. They aim to enhance community wellbeing, improve liveability and boost employment outcomes.
Some of the great programs we offer:
Fit 4 Work
Fit 4 Work is a free initiative designed to support First Nations peoples in improving their health and finding employment. The program offers:
- Access to interactive workshops that cover a range of topics related to health, wellbeing and employment readiness.
- Sports activities that promoting physical fitness and teamwork
- Bespoke accredited training tailored to each participant’s employment goals, providing them with valuable skills and qualifications.
- Career Exploration and gaining insights into different industries through networking events and employer meet-ups.
- Continuous mentoring and support, making sure participants have the guidance they need to succeed.
The Fit 4 Work program is designed to support unemployed, non-active First Nations individuals aged 16-24 years in South Australia. By addressing poor physical activity levels and promoting movement opportunities, the program aims to enhance community wellbeing, improve liveability, and boost economic productivity.
Pre-placement Program – Moving the Mob
Powered by MRAEL through IntoJobs, Moving the Mob has been co-designed with First Nations Program Facilitators to provide support and assistance specific to the needs of unemployed First Nations people, in a culturally safe environment. The program covers personal and employment-related goal setting and skills around money management, health and wellbeing, work readiness, local labour market information and access to further accredited training based on each participants needs.
Indigenous Advancement Literacy Program (IALP)
IALP is a free program for Tasmanian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to develop language, literacy and numeracy skills, along with employability skills to support transition to employment. Training and assistance through IALP is tailored to individual needs and interests.
Program covers:
- Resume writing and job applications
- Confidence and preparation for job interviews
- Help with school work or other education
- Reading, writing and maths
- Computer literacy
