Building an Inclusive Workforce

We’re dedicated to promoting workplace diversity and are committed to increasing workforce participation for women across the various industries we work in. 

We offer a range of programs designed to support women into traditionally male-dominated trade career pathways by creating new opportunities in both established and emerging sectors. This includes introducing pre-school leavers to trade careers and pre-apprenticeship programs, to advice and mentoring for mid-career women to transition into new careers in trades.

Some of the great programs we offer are:

Women in Trades Pre-Apprenticeship is a multi-Industry project supported by the Victorian Department of Education and Training – Apprenticeships Victoria that aims to provide female participants with the opportunity to have a hands-on trial of a range of vocational trade occupations over 6 to12 weeks. AGA delivers the Women in Trades initiative on behalf of the Apprentice Employment Network (AEN) in Victoria.

Connecting Women to Trades provides culturally & linguistically diverse women across Sydney with access to crucial career advice and pre-employment support, to support them develop confidence, independence and employability skills to start a career in trades. This program is delivered by Mas.

Women in Trades Mentoring Program provides access to trades industry support, networking events, podcasts and webinars, monthly check-ins, and our mentor platform. This program is delivered by Mas helps women thrive in their trade career.

AGA offers Trade Pre-Apprenticeships in Victoria.
